What all do I need to get an Audney House?
-
You need atleast one HomeStackTM and one or more RoomStationsTM.
Additionally, an Internet connection (with modem/router) and a home network are required to create an Audney House. These are not provided by Audney.
For Live TV and DVR functionality, you would need a Freeview connection. The great thing about Freeview is that there is no expensive monthly rental! You can learn more about Freeview here.
Do I need a home network for Audney House to work?
-
It is possible to use RoomStationTM without a home network. HomeStackTM requires a home network.
If you currently don't have a home network, please consider getting one to reap the incredible benefits they have to offer. Current generation of home networking technologies like WiFi are cheap, reliable and secure and let you do get more done, be it work or fun.

Can I install additional software on RoomStation?
-
RoomStationTM has been built ground up as an appliance - it has been designed specifically for the funtionality it has and had been optimised and secured for the same. It is, therefore, not possible for us to support any untested software on RoomStationTM .
That said, please bear in mind that:
- It already comes with a huge collection of software.
- Audney is constantly updating the quality and quantity of software. Since these updates are automatically installed on your RoomStationTM, you don't have to worry about a thing.
What optical drive does RoomStation come with?
-
Due to it's sleek size, it is not possible to provide an optical drive within a RoomStationTM. Remember that HomeStackTM ships with a DVD-RW which can be shared and used throughout the house - one of the small benefits of the Audney House.
If you still require a optical drive with a RoomStation, you may attach any USB optical drive (DVD/CD).
What type of video output devices does RoomStation support?
-
RoomStationTM has a VGA port to connect it to compatible video output. This means you can connect RoomStationTM to any CRT monitor, LCD scree or Digital TV (LCD or Plasma) which has a PC interface.
Since RoomStation works in a fixed resolution of 1024x768, please make sure that the video output device you connect to support this resolution - one has to be specially careful about Digital TVs.
We advice that you please check the supported resolution of your monitor/LCD/TV before purchasing RoomStationTM.
